How do I add a new TBS User?

In order to add a new TBS user, you must have Administrative rights.

Click the Add User link and enter User information for at least all fields marked as Required. Once the information is complete, click the Save button.

A link will then appear that allows you to set the User's password. To setup the User with security access to modules within the system, please see Users for more information.

How to manage Users Security & Permissions?

Setup -> Users & Security -> Users.

This can be managed only if you are a Superuser. If you are not a superuser then you can only view users Security & Permissions.

With Superuser access, users are able to check other users System Access to give permissions to the correct people as well as take those permissions away.

How do I know what security modules drive access to parts of TBS?

Standard (internal) users will have all menu options displayed regardless of permissions. However, menu options will be enabled or disabled based on the following rules:

  • The Company Modules enabled for your installation of TBS
  • The security access rights granted to the current user

External Users include:

  • Standard Customers
  • Wholesale Customers
  • Corporate Customers
  • Agents.

These users will be shown a menu option only if they have the proper security access rights.

How do I give permissions to Miscellaneous Charges?

Add the Module "MiscCharges" to the user's Security Group via Users Security.

If you are a superuser in TBS, you have access to assign the MiscCharges Permission to any user. If you are not a superuser, you can at least check to see which users inside of TBS have the MiscCharges Access.

Setup -> Users & Security -> Users.

Click on the user that you would like to review -> System Access -> Permissions Results.

You can then scroll down to the MiscCharges module to review. If a user needs this module you can either contact the superuser at your company to add this module, or contact your CSE for more information regarding the update.
